Volunteers Engaged
We believe young people need more than occasional events. They need safe spaces, relatable mentorship, practical life skills, and real community support.
Our initiatives are designed to reduce isolation, strengthen belonging, improve confidence, and help youth develop the tools they need to navigate life with greater resilience and purpose.

Pleroma Projects is a youth-led grassroots group formed in 2023 in Ottawa to support young people facing social, economic, and personal development challenges.
Our work is designed primarily for Black, racialized, newcomer, and low-income youth, especially those seeking belonging, mentorship, and pathways for growth.
We work in Ottawa through community spaces, partner venues, and online engagement to make support and participation more accessible to youth.

Many youth in Ottawa are dealing with social isolation, identity challenges, limited access to mentorship, financial barriers, and reduced access to spaces where they feel seen, supported, and understood.
For Black, racialized, newcomer, and low-income youth, these issues are often made worse by systemic barriers, limited opportunities, and a lack of culturally relevant, youth-centered support systems.
Our project is shaped by young leaders and community members who bring lived experience, coordination skills, mentorship capacity, and a strong commitment to youth wellbeing and development.
Supports project coordination, team leadership, program planning, and youth-centered implementation.
Supports program delivery, participant communication, logistics, and youth engagement activities.
Supports mentorship structures, youth encouragement, outreach efforts, and community connection.
